Your puppy might be nervous in new environment.
Everything from sights, smells, people, etc. Are strange and very new to him/her.
You have to allow new puppies to explorer the place and encourage him/her to play. Do not leave your
puppy on a bed ,coach, or any place up off the floor unattended. They can brake very easy. You should
have an exercise pen for her or him to stay in when you are away or busy. They do not need to much room,
as they may get into things that may heart them or exhaust them selves running all over the home. Limited
exercise for these T-Cup and Toy size babies. You do not want to over do it with them. Do not leave the
puppy and a child unsupervised. Puppies are fragile. Do not pet the ears on your puppy. They are soft bone
( cartilage ) and will brake down. Become droopy. Keep the hair shaved off the ears so they stay up. This is
mainly with the yorkie puppies. Do not take you new puppy out shopping at the pet store or other stores, to
the park, friends house, for a walk  ECT. He or She needs all the series of puppy shots done before it is safe
to do all that fun stuff.
When you speak to your new puppy, you need to speak quietly and calmly so he/she can be comfortable
with your voice.
He/she will soon be just fine and enjoying his/her new home.

The puppy is used to sleeping with several brothers and sisters, so he/she might feel lonely and cry for first
few couple for night. When the puppy cries out, simply touch his nose and tell him 'no' in a soft voice. The
only thing you tell him when the new pup cries out is softly but firmly 'no'.
Change of diet or environment may cause diarrhea. If the puppy gets diarrhea you have to see the vet that
day, right away.  All of our puppies are feed dry food Eukanuba small bread puppy food and Purina Pro Plan
caned puppy food. However, if you plan to change the puppy's diet, wait until he or she is six months old,
when their insides can handle it better. Do it gradually by mixing little of new food with the food they are
used to eating for several days before switching entirely to the new food. 1/4 new food to 3/4 old food for
the first week, 1/2 and 1/2 for the second week, 3/4 new food to 1/4 old food the third week.
FEEDING
We usually feed Purina puppy chow, along with canned Pedigree Puppy and goats milk. First place ½ of a
cup of dry food in the bowl, then add about ¼ of  a cup of warm water and wait till dry food is soaked, Or
feed it to them dry. Then 3-4 tablespoons of canned food in a separate bowl. You need to feed this  food
every morning and night until he/she reaches 6 months (for toy and t-cup size puppies, you have to leave
the food out at all times). Then at one year you can leave the food out all times or you can start feeding
twice daily.
The puppy need vitamin and calcium in his/her body when he/she is a baby. So you have to give Nutri-cal or
Nutri-stat by mouth 2  times a day or as needed. Do not over do it.
Always make sure your puppy is current on his/her vaccinations throughout his lifetime. A record of the
vaccinations we have given, Will be on the bill of sale  Consult your vet for all the de worming and shots
they recommend. Do not give the Leptospira shot to puppies and dogs under 5 LBs.   If ever your puppy is
not his normal self, please DO NOT give vaccines or worm medicine at this condition. If he has loose stools
without his diet being changed or if he just doesn’t seem right to you, please immediately call us first and
take him to the vet.
Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is a disorder that occurs mainly in toy breeds between 5 and 12 weeks
of age. A hypoglycemia attack is often precipitated by stress and can occur without warning. It is a real
threat to tiny puppies, watch for your puppy to become tired or droopy. The first signs are
listlessness, depression, and muscular weakness.
If your puppy has any symptoms of hypoglycemia, you must give Nutri-cal, Nutri-star, honey or syrup
quickly. It will put the blood sugar level close to normal. You have to keep puppy in a warm place and
don’t let it because chilled. You should be taken to the veterinarian at once.
You have to watch out your new puppy be carefully. Few first day, they can get very sick if they stop
eating. Keep dry food and water available at any time. Do not allow the puppy to overtire.

Young Puppies, especially small breeds are vulnerable to
hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Hypoglycemia can potentially be
fatal if not treated quickly! Factors that contribute to hypoglycemia are stress, excess exercise,
exhaustion, heat, cold, and low calorie intake.
The seller DOES NOT guarantee any puppy that suffers from
hypoglycemia and/or dies. Becouse how the puppy is cared for, is out of my controle once it leaves my
home.

Crate Training

Crate training is often the best choice - while learning while learning not to soil in the house, your
puppy also learns to accept the crate as a safe, secure area. Dogs instinctively want a safe 'den' or
resting area and usually learn not to soil it. A crate offers a perfect choice. Many crate-trained dogs will
tend to be less anxious when kenneled for any reason?at the groomer, veterinarian, or boarding
facility, because they are familiar with a crate or kennel environment. It is very important to choose a
crate size and type that is appropriates for your pet and uses the crate properly. The goal is to train
your puppy to soil only in a designed spot outside, in a litter box or a papered area.

Paper or Litter Box Training

Paper or litter box training is appropriate for small dogs that will not have regular access to the
outdoors. Your puppy should immediately be taken to the designated area upon waking in the morning,
and frequently throughout the day. Praise the puppy when he/she uses the area to pass wastes. Do not
leave young puppies crated all day. Puppies 6-8 weeks old should be crated for no more than 4 hours at
a time. As the puppy grows, crating time can gradually be lengthened to a maximum of 18-20 weeks of
age.

Immediately Clean up Accidents

Immediately clean up accidents and use an odor remover. If you catch your puppy having an accident,
take him/her immediately to the designated soil area. You may even need to leave a small amount of
waste in the spot to help your puppy understand that this is his/her toilet area. Don't discipline the
puppy if you find an accident after the fact. He/she will not understand what the scolding is for. Many
good training materials exist to help you?books, videos, Professional trainers, and pet care associates.
Paper training may be an acceptable a lternative for a small apartment dog whose person is not able to
take him outside regularly. In this case, substitute papers (always in remote corner and always in the
same, easily cleaned spot) for the outdoors and proceed as above. Consider putting the papers on the
floor in the corner of an indoor exercise pen. A variety of pens that are easy to assemble and clean are
available. You might also consider housebreaking pads, which have a scent that attracts puppies to
urinate in your chose spot.
